Michael Thomas is a photographer and an architectural designer. He studied architecture at the University of Houston and has worked as an architect in both Texas and Pennsylvania. Thomas is most well known for his architectural photography, which has been published extensively, and shown in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and here in Massachusetts.

In his most recent project, Thomas transfers his concerns in architecture to the structure of trees in the landscape. His interest in universality and common experience is conveyed through a simple and straightforward approach to photography and architecture. This is evident in another of Thomas’ photography editions, White Houses.
